Holiday Schedule for Irish in Virginia

Ok, well now, what can we say about the Karaoke Trad Session. Hilarious! Don’t know if we will ever do it again, but it was hilarious!!!

H20 continues to support the Irish musicians and Irish music lovers in the area every Tuesday night. November closes out with James West. Plan to attend the Irish in Virginia Christmas toast on December 7th at H20 with the Fighting Jameson’s.  Our own Andy O’Driscoll is back for December 21st and we get ready for the new year with Martin Marron on the 28th.  Come on out and support the Irish!!!

Grogan’s toast at Busch Gardens 6ish on Dec 5th and a date TBD when Liam’s mom arrives from Ireland.

The second annual Christmas Secret Santa party will be Saturday, the 18th of December. Save the date! We do not know where we are having it yet. If you have a preference, let us know!!

Buy your logo gear for Christmas gifts and to get ready for the St Patrick’s Day parade at the Blog site. All proceeds go to the International Children’s Festival Fund.

Hooleyhappenings the news email will only be sent to paid up members beginning in January. Information can be found on this site, the blogs, or Facebook.

East Meets West Karaoke Trad Session

Come on out to a night of silliness and comradeship. While we spend lots of time promoting traditions and heritage, Irish culture is a living thing and since Ireland (and Scotland, too) is dripping with Karaoke we will embrace it here. (Besides the fact is that Steely and Gayle and Terri and Dermot and more enjoy the Karaoke nights at the wee Oasis for the fun of it!) If you are more comfortable banging out a tune on the bodhran or sliding your bow or tooting your whistle, come on out, everyone is welcome in the true Irish sense of failte. We are going to bring some words from some Irish (and maybe a Scots tune or two for Al and Joyce) singalongs just in case there are hidden balladeers out there who would like to join in. Rumor has it that there may be some Manchester folks coming, too. Should we break out our Morris Dance sticks for John  Aiken?

If you don’t want to “perform” you can also just sit back and act like ya don’t know us, and smile in amusement.
