The February gathering for the Irish in Virginia is Friday the 19th at the Oasis.

Val Little is playing that night, so bring your dancing shoes and your best voices.

The business meeting will consist of completing plans for the parade, planning for the International Children’s Festival in April, and getting inputs on what we want to do for St Brendan’s Day in May! Happy St Brigid’s Day to all on Feb… 1st.

Some of us are off to say farewell to Kimber at AJ Gators around 7 tonight. We will miss her dancing and giggling and storytelling! Happy days in your new house with your hubby and the white sandy beaches of Destin!

Val Little is playing at Conklin’s this weekend and Murphy’s Tuesday through Thursday.

James West is playing at Murphy’s tonight through Sunday. 

TFFM has a paid event at the VB Central Library of Code Blue Bluegrass on Saturday.

Martin Marron is playing a benefit concert on Sunday the 31st at HK on the Bay. See his website at irishpubsinger.com for more information. He will be at H20 on Tuesday Feb 2. Come on out and enjoy the food and Guinness specials.

The Wednesday session at the Oasis continues to delight.

Check with the Green Oak for Celtic open Mic nights most Thursdays.

We
are in still in need of a loan of a small boat and trailer for the St
Patrick’s Parade in Norfolk.  If you can beg or borrow a wee boat for
St Brendan, it will be much appreciated.

Aikin is having a Rose n Burger event at the Oasis to help lovers
celebrate Valentine’s Day in these recessionary times,. He is offering
a lunch service on February 14th with specials for celebrating
couples.  So a nice lunch, a matinee, and home for an evening of
romance, what could be better,

Conklins Irish Rover is presenting Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones  onSaturday
February 13. This is a paid event and the pub will be restricted to
paid guests after 430 pm.  A dinner/show ticket is 50 with guaranteed
seating and a bar/appetizer/show ticket is 25.

Every Tuesday night is Irish night at H2O.  Musicians and performers vary between  Val Little,Martin Marron and Cindy Kays so far. Val is performing tonight @ 9.00 with Guinness and food specials.
